When I bought Victoria I was especially disappointed because the plate on the engine cowl that records her serial number was missing -- well, actually the whole cowl was missing. But thanks to the MCJTV Group on Yahoo! I learned about the "other" plate on the valance. I suppose I would have found it eventually. Nevertheless, "finding" it was a immense relief because it made my van -- in a word -- "legitimate". Thus I quickly removed it and hastened its restoration. Amazing what a little blast of glass and a new "vaneer" (sorry) of brass can do.
