Some Metal Work Required

Having the van on jack stands minus the wheels allowed me to better access the bolts holding the front wings and rear fenders on. Each eventually came off thanks to my trusty angle grinder. In removing the left wing, the underside had traces of green paint. Alas, "Victoria" was originally green, specifically BS 381 221 "Brilliant Green" http://www.e-paint.co.uk/BS381%20Colourchart.asp. I also removed the panels that surrounded the radiator. By this time, Victoria was a little skeletal.

It was obvious that the rear end wasn't weather tight over the duration that it had been sitting -- by my guess, about 30 years. the whole rear end was falling away and the whole floor wasn't much better. The right rear end had some obvious collision damage and the left was held together by body filler. The whole side panel on the left side had been replaced at one point by someone who didn't really know what they were doing. Finally, the front valance was bashed beyond help. I placed a sizable order for replacement parts to Iain McKenzie.
