So, this weekend I continued doing what I've done in the past few weeks: namely disassembling parts in no particular order and sandblasting. However, this weekend there were a few twists. First, instead of using my sandblaster I went to this shop in Langley called U BLAST where they supply the equipment and you do the work. Great idea. In any event, I took in my inner front wings because they were too big for my sandblasting cabinet. They came out looking great, especially after I applied some etching primer. Can anyone tell me if they see an "extra" holes in these parts, especially the left one? Next, my dad and I finally removed the last spring and, in doing so, I discovered something interesting. The left rear spring has "J3829" stamped in it (see photo). Then, when I examined the front axle, it also had "4525" and "JFC" stamped into it. I had read that the front axle stamp number was supposed to exist, but had also read that it frequently couldn't be found. The spring stamp took me completely by surprise. I have not closely examined the other springs for numbers, but I will in a couple week's time when I'm back out at Harry's barn.

Did you by any chance come across the chassis number stamping? Apparently it is stamped into the chassis on the top of the main member, I think above the rear spring hanger of the front axle, but I may be wrong. It is apparently only visible with the body off. Maybe Magpie can confirm the location. Then there is absolutely no doubt exactly when Victoria was manufactured.
The inner wings look tremendous ... you and your Dad are certainly making inroads into the restoration! Keep it up!
