So last week I dropped off the gas cap off at the local plating shop and asked them to buff it up for me. I thought it was bronse, but when I picked it up this afternoon, my jaw almost hit the ground. It was amazing and brass! I could shave in it. Earlier in the day I went downtown to clear customs for my crate of parts from Fairmile Restorations. Tomorrow I go and pick them up.

Hi Charlie - That gas cap looks magic! I can see it now becoming a regular job on a Saturday morning to give it a quick flick with the polishing cloth! Betcha can't wait to open the Fairmile crate! Cheers - Bugly
That's why I clear coated it 6 hours after picking it up!
