Okay, I've done sketched out the floor on some 16ga metal. Believe it or not, I drove the whole lot home in my Honda Civic. It was pushed up against my head and I might have done a Loius XVI if I had had to stop quickly. By appearances my floor will look original. The only compromise is that the joins will be at right angles and not interlocking or "stepped". You can see that the floor will have a hald inch flange braked downward and this will be welded, bolted or rivetted into place.
